no baby yet…

My ultrasound went well…doc says baby looks “perfect” and is 7lbs 6oz right now.

….and then he put me on “strict” bed rest.  No physical activity whatsoever.  He said I can be on the couch or in bed…or bathroom obviously.  And I go back next Thursday.

oh. my. god.

I just want to cry…

Only 3 weeks to go, Erin …you can do it. Just think about how hard you worked to get this far. Even at 37 weeks ..every single day inside counts. Better lungs ..less asthma and reactive airway …you need some good solid entertainment. I recommend non stop reruns of House online. And lots of frequent updates for us!

Docs like bubs to stay in as long as possible, and they prefer to induce after 38 weeks (so i found out) I was also a bit miffed two weeks ago when they said I had to wait until the 10th, but here we nearly are.. 3 days to go! I thought the time would drag but it hasn’t. Try and get as much rest as you can because since I was been given a date I have had a constant stream of visitors. It’s exhausting, and although people mean well, you will find they want to see you as much as possible before you become a Mother.

I really can’t recommend sleep enough! Don’t stand if you can sit, don’t sit if you can lie down and don’t stay awake if you can snooze.

It won’t be long. I think your docs will spring into action as soon as you hit the magic 38 week mark. Only 6 more days! Then you will have a baby – Forever!

    Take care!

Almost there, Erin! Take advantage of this time to be At One with your couch, aka Slug Mode. You’ll feel better if you do.

    :)

I agree about getting all the sleep you can. Soon enough, you’ll be dozing for no more than 30 minutes at a time.

Hang in there, gorgeous. The end is in sight. :)

I understand how you feel. Just days before the boys were born I was sobbing to my husband that I just couldn’t be pregnant any longer. Bed rest gets old and you feel so isolated and frustrated. But it will end. I know it is hard but just remember that each moment your baby boy is inside is one more minute that he has to grow and be ready. And, as great as it is when you get to hold him in your arms, you will miss those kicks. I will be thinking good thoughts for you! You can do it! You are almost there and the reward is a beautiful baby boy!
