officially pissed off

2008 May 12

Ok… so I still haven’t heard about my ‘emergency’ ultrasound appointment.  I call my doctor’s office and the girl there gives me the number for the xray department and said they should have an appointment for me, and if not that they should make one for me right then.

So… I call.  I say “Hi, my name is such-and-such and I’m supposed to be scheduled in for an ultrasound because I’m pregnant and fell…”

To which Ms. Bitchy X-ray lady cuts me off and says “I don’t have any dates.  I do the phoning, not you.  I phone YOU when I know the dates.  Don’t call back.”

umm… yeah.  Lets make the pregnant girl cry.

thanks, asshole.

What an uber bitch!!! OMG I would’ve jumped through the phone if I had that super power. I’m sorry she is being like that and I hope she (or someone else who is good at their job) calls soon! ((hugs))

OMG! What a bitch! I would would of probaly went off okay if we’re gonna play that game, how about I do the talking and you shut the fuck up and get me someone who doesn’t have a stick shoved up their ass. What a awful person.

I hope you get your appointment soon *hugs*

Oh my God – what a bitch. I keep checking back for updates, & this is definitely NOT the one I wanted.

Do you live far from the emergency room? Can you just drive down there & tell the ER doctors that you need an ultrasound NOW? Even if you had to pay for part of it, your peace of mind would be worth every penny.

(I don’t know how the health care system works in Canada. You can go to the emergency room in the US, but it will end up costing more than an appointment scheduled with your doctor.)

Ahh, what that lady did was SO uncool. I think I woulda said something, grown my claws, and jumped down her throat, like Julie said. That WAS mean, very mean, and it uncalled for, definitely!

I hope everything is okay. Babies are very resilient. My sister fell down the steps when she was pregnant with her last, and her baby, a tiny, little girl was/is fine!

    Peace to all

oh my god!!!!!!!!! that’s horrendous!!! what a terrible person!! you poor thing!!!

I would have asked for her name, told her she was extremely rude, and contacted her supervisor. That kind of behavior doesn’t belong in the workplace, especially when she’s essentially in the customer service field.

Kriss – here in Canada we don’t pay for anything, and I can’t just go and ask for one. It sucks… but I guess I can’t complain since I’m not the one paying. *grumble*

Wow, what a bitch. I would have called back and said ‘I’m pregnant and had a terrible fall. Before you say anything my doctor told me to call because I should already have an appointment.’ But I can be an aggressive person at times.

I’m not familiar with the Canadian medical system – do they have urgent care centers that you can go to for emergencies? I’d think some things can’t be scheduled, and this is one of those things they’d want to check right away.

thats so mean of her…when you do get your ultrasound ask to speak with the manager or head person of the place and complain. That is/was NOT proper phone Ettique that most public places follows.

She sounds like a bit of a jobs-worthy bitch. She probably aint getting any the dried up old witch.

Its about the same sort of treatment we come to expect from the NHS, but i thought Canada was a bit better. Public health is difficult because you can’t demand anything. So frustrating.

I agree with Vanessa. When you get your ultrasound, Complain to them and demand an apology.

Hugs to you and I hope all is well.

Holy bitch and a half! I’d want to go slap that woman! I agree…when/if you EVER get in for your “emergency” U/S….complain….and then complain some more!

I’d call back and request to speak to a manager. Canadian medical system or not, customer service ethics should always be observed. Also, rules can ALWAYS be bent. Always.
