Clomid – Round #6
2008 January 22
I picked up my Rx of clomid this afternoon. For just a hair under $70.
$70 x 6 = $420 spent on clomid thus far. Beautiful.
And I *do* know that in other places this would all be MUCH more expensive. But for me, this is expensive. I can’t even imagine what we’ll do if we have to move on to IVF. With any luck, our extended health will cover some of it.
So, tonight I’ll load up my pill sorter, and tomorrow will be Clomid Day #1. Oh the joys…

I hope that you don’t feel I’m being rude, but by looking at your past charts you seem to have an early patch of fertile CM and BD accordingly but then tend to ovulate late with only a day or two of fertile CM before O. Most of your cycles end up with poorly timed BD’ing. Prehaps if you BD’d as often as possible until ovulation was clearly confirmed you’d have a little better luck.
It also may help since some of your charts don’t show an obviously clear O if you temp’d every day.
$70?!?!? Oh my gosh. In Texas Walmart and Target started selling fertility medicines for $9. $9 for birth control….$9 for Clomid. I am so sorry that they are charging you so much where you live!
I am sending you happy pregnancy thoughts…It will work this time…It will work this time!!!!
Milkmama: this last cycle was lacking on BD because DH and I were both very very sick while I was O’ing and it just wasn’t happening. This month we’re sticking to it though!
Ginger: yeah… $70… insane, right??
Isn’t it your birthday today (wed)?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
I remember you blogging about being sick but I didn’t realize that it was around O time. I hope that things are better this time around. I know that when ever I am sick it delays my O. Matter of fact I took a little vacay and should have O’d while I was on it and never did. I guess my egg’s are skidish…lol
