Oh, wow, that's SO, VERY COOL! My friend has been SM to her DH's daughter since she (DSD) was two. She is now she is 16, so it's really like she has two mommies. Anyway, she (my friend) ended up having two boys, back to back, but because we lost touch with eachother several years ago, I'm unsure if she had any more. (Ah well...) Well, I do hope you feel well soon, but, incidentally, and not that this is too relevant, but speaking of birthdays, today, January 8th, marks the birth of (my) Neice Naomi, Nephew Ayden, Neice-By-Law Chrissy, and, we mustn't forget, the one-and-only Elvis Pressley! Wooohooo! Isn't all that amazing? Yeah, I thought so too. (LOL...) Get Well Soon, Brooke Hi, (thanks for the response…)

But I have been her step-mom since she was 9 months old. I'd answer more, but I'm really sick and need to go back to bed! We do not have sole custody of DSD, which means I cannot adopt her. It just seems to me that they are inconsistent. Is that it? Now, I may be dumb, but I'm not stupid...Actually, I have a question for you. Before I ask it, I have to comment on the dysfunctional episode, that happened with your "out-laws", posted a few entries past. Now, I'm in no way down-playing what happened, and it's sounded just terrible when I read about it, but I DEfINiTElY have ONe Of ThE CrAZiEsT families, hands down, in the ENTIRE world! (It's) kinda comforting knowing that they're are other families that have these "weird" things that happen. (I'm) sorry if that sounds, uh..., too weird, but it does, really and truly, make me feel better. The only extended, normal family we have is DH's family, and I'm SO grateful for this. I have siblings, too, and, I guess, they put the 'fun' in the dysfunctional. It's a "whole, new story" every month, I swear. Anyway, (I will move) on to my question. If it's not too nosy, I hope you will answer. Do you and your DH have sole custody of your DSD? If you do, does the biological mother have any "ties" with her? If she doesn't, I would definitely adopt her, if I were you, but that's just my opinion. I know, and understand that you want your own (kiddies), and YOU WILL, but, wow, "a ready-made family" sounds awesome! She sounds too sweet, and adorable. Maybe you've already adopted her? Hmm...(there are) SO MANY questions... Take care, And Wishing You The Best... Brooke Hi Erin, (Oh, sorry so long, yet, again)
